Call for Nominations for Executive Committee 2011-2014

Sano Paila invites nominations for its Executive Committee by 7 April 2011.

Sano Paila is pleased to invite nominations for its Executive Committee by 7 April, 2011. Only a member of Sano Paila can participate in the nominating process. You may nominate yourself or a colleague. Only an individual who has been a Member of Sano Paila for at least one year can be nominated as a member of the Executive Committee. New Members whose membership is less than a year can only be nominated by the Executive President.

Nomination is open to any physical person who fulfills the criteria and is willing to help in the continuation of the promotion of the vision of Sano Paila. Sano Paila Members from vulnerable communities Madheshi, Tharu, Dalits, Adivasi, Janajati, women, youth, and physically disabled are highly encouraged for nomination.

Nominations can be filed for the following posts:

Executive President	1
Executive Vice President (Elect)	1
Executive Secretary	1
Executive joint-Secretary	1
Executive Treasurer	1
Executive joint-Treasurer	1
Finance Committee Member	3
Secretariat Member	2
Executive Member	4 or 6

How to Nominate:

A.      Nomination Form

Individuals fulfilling the above mentioned conditions and seeking to nominate themselves or nominating others can collect and complete the Self-Nomination/Nomination Form which is available at the Office of the Secretariat or can be made available by email by 7 April 2011. Please sign-in and submit the completed form along with a copy of the nominee’s CV to the Office of the Secretariat, Alakhiya Road-5, Birgunj or email to sanopaila@gmail.com . 

B.      A receipt obtained from the Office of the Finance Committee as evidence of nominee’s renewal of membership must also be submitted along with the nomination form.

C.      Nominations submitted to the Office of the Secretariat, upon verifying their completeness and information, will be forwarded to the incumbent Executive Committee of Sano Paila. The Executive Committee, upon receipt of a certificate of acceptance of the Constitution of Sano Paila and such other documents as it may reasonably require, will table the nomination at the General Assembly 2011. The General Assembly 2011 will decide the appointment of the nominees.

Annual Call for Membership Applications/Renewal 2011-2012

Sano Paila invites applications for membership and renewal by 7 May 2011.

Sano Paila is pleased to invite individuals with an interest in social work and passion to serve their communities to apply for membership or renew membership by 7 May 2011 (24 Baisakh 2068). Application for membership is open to any physical person who fulfills the below mentioned “Eligibility for Membership” and is willing to help in the continuation of the promotion of the vision of Sano Paila. Individuals from vulnerable communities Madheshi, Tharu, Dalits, Adivasi, Janajati, women, youth, and physically disabled are highly encouraged to apply for membership. Existing members are requested to renew their annual membership. 

Sano Paila is a member-based, nonprofit, nongovernmental organization that works in communities in Central and Eastern Terai, based on the idea that often it just takes "a little step" to serve your community and create change. Founded by a group of self-motivated and dynamic youths, Sano Paila undertakes its programs by engaging community residents in developmental projects that advance and promote the quality of community life. We at Sano Paila accept as true that we, ourselves hold in our pockets the key to social reform and are responsible for the overall development of our communities.

Eligibility for Membership

1. Individuals of both genders, including third gender who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.
2. Individuals should be a Nepali national and submit a copy of national citizenship certificate or passport.
3. Individuals should not have any criminal or civil cases pending or on-trial in the court of law within and outside Nepal. 
4.  Individuals should be of sound mind. 
5. Individuals should complete and duly sign the application form and submit receipt of non-refundable application fee of NPR 551/-.
6. Membership cannot be provided in the name of those who have been deceased.

How to Apply: 

1.  Application Form

Individuals fulfilling the above mentioned criteria should collect and complete the Membership Application Form by 7 May 2011 which is available at the Office of Secretariat or on the website or can be made available by email if requested. Please sign-in and submit the completed form along with a copy of National Citizenship Certificate or Passport and 2 pc of PP size photos to the Office of the Secretariat, Alakhiya Road-5, Birgunj or email  sanopaila@gmail.com

2.  a.  A receipt obtained from the Office of Finance Committee as evidence of payment of application fee must also be   submitted along with the membership application. However, in case of individuals who are financially deprived but have extensive desire to be a member can request for an application fee waiver from the Office of the Executive President. The Executive President, upon terms and conditions for such waivers will waive application/membership fees for individuals who are financially deprived or physically disabled or belong to marginalized communities.

b. For individuals living abroad, we can make special arrangement for payment of application and membership fees. Please feel free to email us for more information as currently our online payment system has been temporarily closed down. 

3.  Applications for membership submitted to the Office of the Secretariat, upon verifying their completeness and       information, will be forwarded to the Executive Committee of Sano Paila. The Executive Committee, upon receipt of a certificate of acceptance of the Constitution of Sano Paila and such other documents as it may reasonably require, will approve or deny the application. Admission as a member will only be effective upon the decision by the Executive Committee.
